Image TIA urgently — DWI-MRI preferred within 24 hours plus carotid/intracranial vascular imaging to drive secondary prevention.
TIA is a tissue-based diagnosis requiring urgent imaging: MRI with diffusion-weighted sequences detects infarction in a substantial fraction of clinically transient events, and vascular imaging of the cervical and intracranial vessels identifies treatable stenosis.
